Sharing Your Story
The 2019 legislative changes to the auto no-fault law will have a significant impact on auto crash survivors and their families as well as the providers that care for them. Many lawmakers don’t have a clear understanding of how these changes will impact crash victims’ ability to access care so please write to your Michigan House of Representative and Senator. You may also wish to cc Governor Whitmer as well.
Over the years, CPAN members have shared their stories about how Michigan’s auto no-fault system has positively impacted their lives and the lives of their families after being seriously injured in an auto accident. These powerful stories have been shared with legislators during hearings, personal visits with representatives at their office or during coffee hours, and with others to help them understand the challenges thousands of Michiganders face when recovering from, and living with, injuries suffered as a result of a crash. We encourage you to share your story. After all, you are the expert. It’s your story. You’ve lived it.
