CPAN relies on membership dues and grassroots contributions from its supporters in order to fund its advocacy and public information efforts. In 2018, we were outspent by the auto insurance industry at an estimated 20:1 rate. We will never have the budget of auto insurers, but with your help, we can harness the commitment of our passionate advocates. When you contribute to CPAN, you can have confidence that 100% of your donation goes directly to supporting auto accident survivors’ right to recover and ensuring auto insurance reform in Michigan protects consumers instead of big auto insurance company profits.
We are good stewards of your funds, and spend approximately 10% on operations, 17% on professional management, 3% on amicus briefs, 24% on public awareness and advertising, 7% on legislative consulting, 13% on meetings, programs and events, 9% on legal consulting, and 17% on other consulting and research.
