Accomplished No-Fault Coalition Leader Tim Hoste Unanimously Named New President of CPAN
Hoste takes on role as coalition embarks on key consumer protection fights
LANSING, Mich.— (May 22, 2023)—Tim Hoste, an experienced coalition leader and passionate advocate for the rights of catastrophic crash survivors, has been named the new president of CPAN, the consumer protection organization fighting for fair insurance laws.
“I’m energized knowing that I am taking on this role as CPAN embarks on key pushes for consumer protections,” Hoste said. “As a demonstration of CPAN’s critical role in Michigan, our coalition will continue to help crash survivors get the care they need and hold insurance companies accountable for unfair pricing practices.”
Having worked in the post-acute industry for over 14 years, Hoste is currently the Area Director of Vocational/Day Programming and Support Services at NeuroRestorative Michigan. He has also been an active member on the board of directors for the Michigan Brain Injury Provider Council and is its immediate past president. In 2020, he became a member of the CPAN executive committee. Hoste is also active in local government, with experience on the city council and various committees and commissions within the City of Roseville.
Hoste was unanimously approved as president at the March meeting of the CPAN Board of Directors. He will take on the role previously held by Devin Hutchings, who had served in the position since October of 2020.
“I’m looking forward to continuing the great work of Devin and I want to thank him for his time and leadership,” Hoste said. “I am thrilled and honored to take on this new role and understand what’s at stake for all Michiganders as our coalition continues to grow our voice and influence at the Capitol, in the courts and in the public sphere.”
Hutchings said the coalition is lucky to have Hoste and his wealth of knowledge and experience.
“Tim has spent more than a decade fighting for the rights of crash survivors in a variety of settings,” Hutchings said. “His experience, expertise and passion are spectacular assets to this coalition. I’m excited to pass him the baton.”
"We wish to thank Devin Hutchings for his work and dedication over the past three years,” said CPAN First Vice-President Steve Pontoni. “It has been challenging times, to say the least, for the no-fault community and CPAN, as our community continues to endure the consequences of discriminatory auto reform policies. Devin has been a calm, steady leader and will be missed."
